    • Meets CEC 79-11
    • Intrinsically safe Ex ia IIB
    • Class 1, Division 1, Groups C & D
  • Operates effectively from -40°C to 85°C
  • Rechargeable 6V battery can provide over 21 days of normal operation at -40°C without external power
  • Designed to operate with an Extreme Telematics Solar Panel that allows the controller to run indefinitely
  • Mounting space for up to 4 valves
  • RS-485 serial port that supports Modbus
  • Conformal coating protects controller from corrosion
  • Easy to use menu based interface with arrow and select/cancel keys

ALiEn Versatility

The ALiEn can be upgraded to make plunger lift control even easier with its powerful self optimizing feature that uses pressure and flow rate to maximize the potential of your well.

When installed with a minimum 2 of the following 4 inputs, our controller will have enough information to run its self optimizing routines.

  • Line Pressure Switch Input
  • Differential/Pressure Switch Input
  • Casing Pressure Switch Input
  • Flow Rate Sensor Input

Additionally, the ALiEn can maintain multiple valve configurations:

  • Top/Tank valve support (Valve B)
  • Casing Valve for tubing casing flow (no annular flow control)

PIT Boss Operation

The PIT Boss was designed to perform multiple tasks:

1. Standard Pacemaker operation with one or two valves monitoring the following processes

  • Wait for Arrival Time
  • Flow Time
  • Shut in Time
  • Extended shut-in Time

2. Line Pressure Override Operation

  • Shut-in period will be extended if the device detects an excessive flow line pressure, limiting incomplete trips to the surface
  • Line pressure devices may also be used other cycles to Shut-in the PIT Boss

3. Flow Velocity Override Operation

  • Allows the Flow Time to be safely extended if the gas velocity is still high enough
  • Prevents any unnecessary trips for the Pacemaker, reducing wear and stress
