PAS - Plunger Arrival Sensor RELIABLEDesigned for Canadian winters, PAS™ will reliably detect plunger arrivals from -40 oC to +70 oC. ADJUSTABLE We realize that any two wells are not the same. PAS™ allows you to specify the sensitivity on each well. Lower the sensitivity to eliminate false detects and raise the sensitivity to pick up well movements when using non-steel plungers. RUGGED PAS™ is constructed with a hard aluminum case and filled with hardened epoxy. It comes standard with a 3m armoured cable tail. LOW POWER PAS™ is designed to be extremely low power and on average draws less than 400 uA of current, fitting into all power budgets. OPERATION PAS™ operates as a normally open dry contact. Simply connect the 3 wire interface to power, ground, and signal and you are ready to go. Our design uses a magnetic sensor as opposed to a traditional coil. This means that PAS™ can detect slow moving or even static plungers. As well, the plunger does not have to fully travel past the sensor, allowing for a wider range of mounting locations. This unique design gives us other advantages, including the ability to control the sensitivity, provide an install mode, and provide a clean 1 second output pulse. INSTALLATION Using a standard hose clamp, PAS™ is fixed to the well. The sensor may be left in its default sensitivity position or adjusted for the well specific conditions. PAS™ also includes an install mode. Set the internal switchtoposition0. Now instead of closing the contacts, the sensor will illuminate an LED if it detects too much steel, saturating the sensor. This helps determine the optimum location for mounting the sensor. SPECIFICATIONS
